2nd day. *Campus Tour*

I woke up at 8.30am, still can feel the pain on my chest. Thought of eating breakfast with others, but in the end I had my breakfast together with another 3 friends from BME. We walked to Macdonald and we saw everyone was there at the Macdonald, and then I realized that I was the last one to wake up. After breakfast, we went back to the hotel to prepare for everything and soon we gather at the lobby. One of the lecturers in Tianjin University of Technology came to the hotel and she did a little bit of briefing for us. After that, we went to Tianjin University of Technology, China! This is the place where we need to report 5 times a week for 4 weeks.

We met lecturers there; from the way they try to speak in English so that every one of us can understand what they were talking about, I felt that they try really hard and they were all very friendly. I hope can have more chance to have a deeper talk with them. As what yiwen said, we hope to learn their culture and EVERYTHING! We went for a break after that, and I had my lunch at the hotel. This is only the second day, that’s why we don’t know how to communicate with the waiters and waitresses here. Although we speak Chinese, they also speak Chinese, but don’t mean that we can understand one another. I think this is a very good time for me to learn to speak proper Chinese.

After lunch, we went back to the university.

The next session was asking us to meet with the china students in Tianjin. I have my own study partner, Zhang Qian. She is really friendly. She brought me to almost everywhere of the campus. BUT, because of I got no sense of direction, I still cannot tell a place correctly. I hope this can be changed one day. (: By the way, Zhang Qian tried to explain the customs and traditions to me so that I can have a better understanding about Tianjin.
During the campus tour, I tried to help Alif and Thir so that they can understand what we were going to explore .It was so embarrassing especially when I want to translate for them but I don’t even understand what the partners said. This is quite a challenging task because what I did before is to translate Malay to Chinese. Anyway, every one of us got a very friendly and good study partner that tried really hard to let us know more about Tianjin.

At night, we went out to buy dinner. Again, we said the wrong thing and the waitress misunderstood us. We wanted to take away the porridge, but the word that we said is we want to bring food into the restaurant. >.< By the way, we have learnt the way to communicate with the waiter and waitress in Tianjin.

Tomorrow will be the first class in Tianjin, Jiayou!
