Our flight to Guangzhou is at 8.00am, so we need to gather before 5.45am at Changi Airport terminal 1 early in the morning.
That was my first time to Changi Airport.
After check in, we have our breakfast at the airport and then we took cz352 flight to Guangzhou.
Everything went on smoothly until we reached Guangzhou, Baiyun international airport.
(Photos when we were at the Guangzhou airport)
At first we thought that it's better to check in first, so 21 of us (including 2 lecturers) squeezed into 1 lift.
That was a good experience (: When we want to check in, the guy told us not to check in too early, because the food inside is very expensive and NOT nice. Haha he is very straightforward. So we decided to go out. Again, all of us squeezed inside the lift again.
I wonder how we did that, it was AMAZING.(:
Since we have about 4 hours before another flight to Tianjin, we decided to take a look at the airport, at the same time, we can think of what to eat. In the end, we separated into 2 groups, and I had MACDONALD as my lunch.19 of us gather again after lunch, we walked around in the airport, looking around. As the time reaching 3pm, all of us went to gather and wait for the two lecturers. We sat down at the walk way in the airport, as everyone passed by us; they stared at us with the very weird feeling. I found that we were the only group that sat down there. That was something different between China people and Singaporean? Anyway, I still got a long way to know more about china people. (:
Here comes the funny part, most of us thought that we should go to B02 and wait for the bus to go to the plane. So everyone assume that B02 is the right place. We went to B02, sat down and get some rest over there. Mr. Tan showed us some magic and Mr. Chua told us about Tianjin.
We sat down there for more than half an hour.
Suddenly,
Mr. Chua said it was already 4.00pm, how come there wasn't any bus come to fetch us. Then, Gary went to ask the informant, then only we realized that we were all waiting at the wrong place. We supposed to wait at level 3 instead of level 1. ): We almost miss out flight to Tianjin. This incident had given a lesson to us. The lesson that I learnt was we could not assume that we were always correct. Assuming is needed sometimes during experiment and real life, but we should make sure of everything before we make decisions.
(Me and Yiwen on the plane)
We reached Tianjin at around 7.30pm. After check in the Mandarin Hotel, we went out for dinner. We had our dinner at "红蜡烛", that was a better meal compared to lunch and thanks Mr.Chua for the dinner (:
(having dinner at red candle)
End of our 1st day in Tianjin. The traffic of China is totally different from the traffic in Singapore!
We must be more careful when crossing the road.
